FANG CHE CHENG

LangForm is an architectural installation composed of interwoven metallic lines that abstractly interpret the mountain ridges of Matsu. Inspired by the juxtaposition of mountains and sea, the modular metal system evokes the region’s unique topography while referencing both local geological layering and traditional construction logic.
Through a low-profile yet expansive configuration, the work explores spatial openness and fluidity. Its form reflects the continuous undulations of Matsu’s coastal landscape, while the vertical elements subtly echo the dynamic contours of floating islands. By integrating computational design with modular assembly, LangForm exemplifies a hybrid craftsmanship between digital technology and site-specific expression.

「崚」 LangForm。以金屬的稜線勾勒出馬祖的山稜，以點陣化方式拼湊出馬祖的蜿蜒。在馬祖山與海的交錯間，使其具有某種透明性，低調、內斂並且融合在這片窗景裡。展現出與當地山勢水色相互融合的效果，線性的架構所留出的框景將馬祖的風景匡列其中，而由機械手臂所精準製造的金屬線條更是轉譯了在海水中浮現的蒼勁山勢，使整體作品呈現出科技藝術相結合下的數位工藝。
