Reciprocals

Reciprocals Pavilion creates a unique area on the campus where the corner of the wooden square is. Reciprocal frames are used as the main structure to combine each unit without any metal joints and glue to form a dome. Inside the space of the pavilion, the team designed three benches inspired by a simple reciprocal structure that allows people to take seats and lie on them to enjoy the trees and sky. The reciprocal benches were combined as a Y shape to stabilize the inner structure and firm the entire dome.

‘Reciprocals Pavilion’，圍塑出一個獨特的空間場域，這樣的構築使用簡單的卡榫來相互組合單元之間。在這個構築裡也考慮到了人進出的動線規劃，並開通一個通道作為路徑的串聯，交互結構所編織的表情也呼應樹葉與樹之間的意象。
為了使人舒適的感受這樣的空間性，同樣以互惠框架系統設計出一個簡單的街道家具，可以提供臨時休息的座椅，在細節上便使用了紙筒空心的特色，做出延伸座椅靠頭的躺椅設計。另外解決圓頂結構因為紙板材料可能的坍塌，設計了一個內部支撐的結構形式，以躺椅排列連接成Y字形並連接至圓頂的邊界上，形成穩定的系統並自動圍塑出一個聚會的講話形式。希望讓這個邊角的空間能讓人停留躺下，細細地品嘗藍天、氣流和樹梢的光景與獨特的框景。
